This policy identifies our collective commitment to Environmental Sustainability, it is applicable to our businesses at each Sharp facility location, where it should be communicated, and its intention implemented by all.
Policy statement
Human health and well-being are intimately linked to environmental quality. Improvement in the quality of our environment is not a once–off activity, it is a journey of embedding environmentally sound business practices within our organisation and a commitment to sustainability within our people.
Every day we work together to improve the lives of patients around the world, and we want to ensure that our activities do not result in adverse environmental impacts.

The key to our Environmental Sustainability commitment is that we proactively manage environmental aspects before they become impacts. Our journey begins with a better understanding of our environmental footprint, its impact, and how it’s changing.

Leadership message
For Sharp, sustainability is interpreted as the way we use natural, social and economic resources to live and work in the world today that ensures we don’t compromise future generation’s ability to meet their needs. With a network of production facilities in different countries, we recognise our responsibility in minimising the impact we have on the quality of the environment all around us. It is important to me as a leader that Sharp will leave an environmental sustainability legacy that our children and our grandchildren can be proud of.
