Through the Humanitarian Action for Children appeal 2023, UNICEF is appealing for US$10.3 billion to reach more that 110 million children with humanitarian assistance.

Every year many of Sharp’s employees give up their personal time or make personal donations to support local charities in their home communities. Their support is hugely important to those organizations that rely solely on volunteers’ time and on financial support. In reflection of their efforts, each year Sharp makes a donation on our colleagues’ behalf to a global, community-based, healthcare-focused charitable organization in recognition of the essential services they deliver in communities around the world. This year again, we are supporting UNICEF’s work for vulnerable children across the globe.
As UNICEF describes on their website, the world is an increasingly volatile place for children as “across the globe, children are facing a historic confluence of crises – from conflict and displacement to infectious disease outbreaks and soaring rates of malnutrition.” We are specifically offering support for the Humanitarian Action for Children appeal, 2023.
As Sharp continues to plan for reductions in our GHG emissions across our facilities and our supply chain, we want to recognize UNICEF for working deep in the front lines as humanitarian needs escalate in the face of the advancing climate crisis.
