Sharp, a leading provider of pharmaceutical packaging and clinical services, has strengthened its leadership team with two new additions to its Senior Leadership Team.
Walter Tyrrell has been appointed as chief financial officer and Robert O’Beirn as senior vice president and commercial director. Mr. O’Beirn takes interim responsibility for Sharp’s European commercial packaging operation, while also leading corporate development overall for the division.
Commenting on the appointments, Brendan McAtamney, Chair of Sharp, said:

Mr. Tyrrell moved to Sharp from the UDG Healthcare group, where he had been Head of Internal Audit since 2014. Prior to joining UDG Healthcare, Walter held senior roles in the banking and life assurance sectors.
Mr O’Beirn’s previous role was also within UDG Healthcare which he joined in 2011 as senior legal counsel, later joining the corporate development area, with particular focus on M&A.
